Welcome to WREN

Our directors and staff are fully committed to enhancing the community environment, natural conservation and heritage aspects of the world in which we live and create a beneficial and lasting legacy for future generations.
Applying for Community Funding in England and Wales
We have changed how we fund community projects and now have a single programme, the FCC Community Action Fund. Applications for funding can be made via our new online application system. Click here to find out more and apply for funding
The next deadline for applications is Wednesday 8 June 2016. Due to landfill site closures, this will be the last deadline for projects in some areas. Please click here to see if the landfill site near you is affected.
Applying for Funding in Scotland
From 1 April 2015 landfill tax generated in Scotland is collected and managed differently and as a result the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund (SLCF) replaced the UK scheme as at that date. Applicants in Scotland wishing to apply for funding must apply to the FCC Scottish Action Fund. The next deadline for applications to this programme is 6 April 2016 and applicants can find out more, and apply via our online application system.
FCC Biodiversity Action Fund
The next deadline for applications to the FCC Biodiversity Action Fund will be 15 April 2016. The application will be available for download shortly. Funding of between £75,000 and £150,000 will be available for projects up to 3 years which will deliver landscape scale habitat improvements in our operating areas in England and Wales. If you have a biodiversity project based in Scotland you can apply to our FCC Scottish Action Fund.
