The WREN Board
WREN is a “not for profit” operation and therefore only pays corporation tax on interest earnings which are not distributed to eligible projects under the rules of Gift Aid.
There are eleven serving directors and formal Board meetings are held at least four times per year. There are three “member” directors (as required by a Company Limited by Guarantee,) three directors are nominated by our donor company Waste Recycling Group Limited and a further five directors are co-opted to represent the interests of the principle Counties in which WREN operates.

Directors role and responsibilities
The WREN Board adhere to a formal corporate governance code of conduct. Some aspects of the day to day running of WREN is delegated to a smaller number of directors who operate as an Executive Board. However all strategic decisions are taken at full Board meetings and all grant decisions are made or ratified by the full Board.
