Grant Administrator
WREN is seeking a hard working, flexible and proactive team member to join our friendly administration department dealing with grants under the Landfill Communities Fund.
The role, based at our Head Office in Bridgham, includes processing applications received through to project completion. If you have strong administration and communication skills with an organised approach to work then we would like to hear from you.
This is a temporary position (10 months) to cover maternity leave with a salary of £14,262 per annum.
RESPONSIBLE TO: OFFICE MANAGER
Based at WREN House, NR16 2RX
OVERVIEW OF MAIN TASKS
- To provide complete project administration backup for WREN
- At all times work with and co-operate with colleagues to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum bureaucracy and demarcation lines
- Day to day point of contact for Grant Team Manager, Grant Managers and Panel Members including provision of administration and co-ordination services
- To work in line with the WREN QMS and aid continuous improvement
MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advising prospective Landfill Communities Fund applicants from initial enquiry through to receipt of completed application
- Process applications received through to project completion. This will include:
- Identifying and requesting any additional or missing information
- Photocopying and distributing applications as appropriate
- Keeping up to date and comprehensive files on each project
- Collating and circulating Agendas and supporting information for County Advisory Panel meetings
- Registering approved projects with Landfill Tax Regulator, ENTRUST
- Preparing formal contract letters
- Preparing Third Party Funding (3PF) documentation
- Registering, maintaining and updating WREN database with project information and communications
- Liaising with members of WREN staff, specifically Grant Team Managers to ensure projects are up to date and compliant
- Carry out additional administrative tasks as and when required
- Supporting Field Staff in the management of project
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Adaptability
- IT Skills - Word, Excel, Access, E-mail and Internet
- Good verbal, written and numeracy skills
- Ability to handle heavy workload to high standard and strict deadlines
- Knowledge of ENTRUST and Landfill Tax Act (training will be provided)

- Direct to Office Manager, Operations Manager, Managing Director & Chairman
- Two way with Finance Manager, Grant Team Manager & Grant Managers
External:
- ENTRUST, contractors, applicants, Panel members, WRG employees & Board members
