Regional Advisory Panels

Involving local people in helping decide which projects and organisations should receive funding from WREN is a cornerstone of WREN operating policy.

The people who volunteer to sit on these advisory panels bring their own invaluable local knowledge and individual skills to the project adjudication process. All project applications are closely examined by the Advisory Panels and their recommendations carry considerable weight when decisions on which projects to fund are taken by the WREN Board of Directors.

Panels are made up of people from all walks of life and from a diversity of localities. But all the panels have representation from those involved with community, conservation and heritage organisations or have had a working experience in these areas. These Advisory Panels are what makes WREN unique and help us to ensure that the best projects and those with greatest need receive grant support.
