What happens next

If your project is successful, what happens next.

All successful applicants will need to submit a project plan. Plans should include the following:

  • Project timetable;
  • Detailed annual work programme divided into six monthly targets;
  • Expenditure plan showing anticipated expenditure for each six monthly schedule;
  • Biannual reporting schedule to support each grant claim, showing expenditure by item, and outputs and outcomes in relation to the six monthly targets in the work programme;
  • PR Plan. You are requested to acknowledge WREN and the Biodiversity Action Fund in any publicity about the project and notify WREN in advance of such publicity.

It is a condition of WREN funding that an overivew of the project's aims and outcomes are reported through the web-based Biodiversity Action Report System (BARS). WREN will arrange for you to receive help in registering your project if required. You will not be able to start your project until you confirm your project has been registered with BARS.

All projects must have a Funding Agreement, drawn up by WREN, in place and the contributing third party paid prior to any work commencing. Failure to comply with this may result in funding being withdrawn.

Any project which fails to start within 12 months of the date of the offer letter from WREN will have its offer of support reviewed.
