Publicity

WREN invites applicants to undertake publicity in order to show where the funding has come from, namely the landfill operator, to publicise the Landfill Communities Fund and to publicise the project and to give other organisations and communities the opportunity to find out about this source of funding.

In addition an opening event or opening ceremony can prove a great way of involving and thanking all those people who helped and contributed towards your project.

Your Grant Manager can help you with publicity and provide information and possible publicity could include:

  • Press releases issued during the lifetime of your project and when it is completed.
  • Site representation during and at the end of the project, i.e. a plaque.
  • An opening event.

Please remember to take photographs of your project before, during and after and let us have copies. Not only do they show the progress of your project but they could be included on this website to show other groups what can be achieved.
