The Decision Making Process

As long as we have all the information we need, all eligible applications are reviewed by our local volunteer Advisory Panels who know the needs and requirements of your area and have the regional knowledge and expertise to assess and consider your application for funding.

Please note that applicants may be required to give presentations at these meetings depending on the size of grant applied for.

These Regional Advisory Panels make a recommendation to the WREN Board on whether your project should be supported or not.

All projects are then considered by the WREN Board, which assesses your project in association with the Regional Panel’s recommendation and decides whether your project should be supported, declined or the funding decision deferred.
