WREN community projects hit the 5000 mark
WREN awards grants to projects that make a real difference to local communities. So it’s always rewarding to look back at all the projects we’ve funded across the country over the years.
And even more pleasing for everyone involved is reaching those significant milestones that put all the great work into perspective. A quick glance at our latest figures shows that WREN has now funded an impressive 5,219 projects in its 13 years, 4,960 of which are entirely community-focused. That’s an amazing total of more than £136 million awarded by WREN across all our funded projects.
Regions right across the country are benefitting from WREN funding and hitting significant milestones. Wrexham is about to reach the £1 million mark and Yorkshire is approaching £19 million. Here are just a few other funding facts:
- Halton & Warrington: 210 projects - £7 million
- Humber: 240 projects - £6 million
- Nottinghamshire: 470 projects - £12 million
- Oxfordshire: 162 projects - £5 million
- West Glamorgan: 42 projects - £1 million
- Warwickshire & West Midlands: 189 projects - £4 million
