WRG Village Hall & Community Centre Challenge Update

THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS HAS NOW PASSED.

How the competition will unfold…

This competition closed to applications at the end of July and the response has been impressive! We have received a large number of applications across all our operating areas.

Each project that meets WREN’s basic eligibility standards will be selected for the second round of assessment. Notification to applicants of all first round decisions will be made by the end of September.

In the second round, from mid September to mid November, each project will be assessed by one of our Project Managers. This will include a site visit with a standardised assessment of the quality of the project. Applications that reach the second round will be judged in mid December and then notified if they have made it through to the final by the end of December.

The five finalists will be judged via a presentation in March 2006 with an event for the winners to be held in central London in early May. Three top prizes of grants of up to £250,000 and two of up to £125,000 are to be awarded, so all five finalists are winners!
