Eversholt Play Equipment

Eversholt Play Equipment

The play equipment is situated next to Eversholt Village Hall recreational ground and public open air swimming pool in Eversholt, Bedfordshire. The entire area has an air of village life and true to its feel the recreational ground has a cricket pitch that attracts villagers in their droves. Summer weekends especially bring families to picnic, play sports and swim.

The original play equipment however was looking extremely tired and was reaching the end of its life, and so the Eversholt Village Hall Charity applied to WREN for funding towards new play equipment. This new play equipment was discussed at great length with the local community, and between them all the type of equipment and design, was decided.

WREN awarded this project a total grant of £45,639 towards some new equipment in 2007.

Work began, with lots of volunteer input and help from locals, and finally a grand opening event was held. It was incredibly well attended, both by children and adults. The new equipment can now be enjoyed by a whole new generation of local children.
