Hensingham celebrates long awaiting improvements to their community park.
The community of Hensingham celebrated the completion of phase 1 of some much needed improvements to their community park on the 17th September 2008. The project has been driven entirely by a local community group known as Hensingham Community Volunteers who initially identified the need for the works and have secured funding totaling over £135,000 for the project.
WREN agreed to assist with funding perimeter fencing and pathways at a cost of £40,000 to complement works on a toddler play area and multi use games area which were all recently completed and well received by the community.
