North Wingfield - Community Resource Centre
This application was made by North Wingfield Parish Council, who’s aim was to create a multi-purpose facility, which local people would take pride in, and one, which would be regularly utilised by members of the community irrespective of their backgrounds.
Whilst the primary purpose of the centre is to provide and create learning and employment pathways, in order to meet wider community needs, the centre is also regularly used by a range of different groups and for a range of different activities including, health and education exercise groups, youth groups, drama, dances, coffee mornings, luncheon clubs and a range of other local community groups and activities.
The total project cost was just over £900K and WREN awarded £50K, specifically towards the main hall and the toilets. Other facilities in the centre include a small lounge area, ICT suite/ Cyber café, Training/ Interview/ Counseling/ Meeting rooms, Games room, Kitchen facilities and much more
