Thames Chase Visitor Centre
Thames Chase Visitor Centre and Play Area
Thames Chase is helping to transform over 40 square miles of landfill, horse-pasture and other land on the edge of London into woodlands, meadows, marshes and wetlands. The Thames Chase Community Forest serves the millions of people who live in East London and Essex. It is adjacent to the busy M25, but tries to provide a peaceful area for the public to use.
In addition to the new visitors centre, a new play area has been created, which will complement the facilities available for visitors. The play area has been constructed from wood and is visually in-keeping with the rest of the site.
WREN funding of £45,000 has been given for the new play area.
