For the last seven years, Greengairs Community Council has been working hard to develop and build a wide range of projects with financial help from the Landfill Tax Credits generated by Greengairs Landfill Site, which is owned and operated by Waste Recycling Group.
Wren have supported these projects in a major way and £151,058 has been awarded towards Stanrigg Memorial Park, play areas, church renovations, a games area and pathways. A further £500,000 has been awarded towards the creation of an indoor sports centre. This is the single, largest award made by Wren.
Mrs Maria Donovan of Greengairs Community Council said, “we are delighted that Wren have committed such significant funds for these projects so keenly desired by the community”.
