A Churches Trust Agreement is in place and projects involving Church restoration, repair or renewal should contact the Historic Cheshire Churches Preservation Trust.
Applications submitted to WREN for funding are assessed by Regional Advisory Panels who in turn make recommendations to the WREN Board.
If you would like information about who sits on the Advisory Panel in Halton and Warrington please write to WREN detailing your request.

Frodsham Parish Hall

Located in the centre of the historic Town, Frodsham Parish Hall was completely refurbished in 2006 at a cost of over £280,000. In 2004, the building was showing its age, dating back to the mid 19th Century the hall offered limited access and was in need of major works to ensure its future as a community facility.

Halebank Ballcourt and Play Area

A grant of £40,000 from WREN enabled the Halebank ballcourt and play area project to go ahead in the Summer of 2006 at a total cost of over £66,000. The games area was officially opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Halton in September 2006 and is being very well used.

Kingsway Backs in Widnes

The ‘Backs’ project has delivered significant improvements to a piece of land surrounded by houses on the Kingsway estate in Widnes. A exceptionally large grant of over £57,000 was awarded to the project by WREN in 2005 to develop this important site
