Applications submitted to WREN for funding are assessed by Regional Advisory Panels who in turn make recommendations to the WREN Board.

PLEASE NOTE - Due to a limited budget the South Yorkshire Advisory Panel only meet every six months. The next deadline for receipt of applications from South Yorkshire is 28 September 2007.

  • Laughton Recreation Ground

    On Monday 5th May the new children’s play area in Laughton en le Morthen was finally opened after several years hard work by the local community.

  • Woodsetts Village Hall

    Community groups in Woodsetts have been given a boost with the opening of the new village hall. After many years of planning and development the new hall is up and running, providing a high quality venue for a range of activities.

  • Rossington Atlee Ave Play Area

    The new play area on Atlee Avenue, Rossington is now open and being enjoyed by local children. A WREN grant of £25,000 helped the residents raise the funds needed to finally get the play area.

  • Norton and Campsall Methodist Church

    Norton and Campsall Methodist Church improvements have now finished and the church is once again available to the local community.

  • Grimethorpe Community and Fitness Centre Opens

    The new Grimethorpe Community and Fitness centre was officially opened by Mayor Mick Hanley on 5th October 2007. The new centre was built by Brierley Town Council, with funding from WREN, Regional Housing Board and SRB H 1.
