Woodsetts Village Hall

Woodsetts Village Hall

Community groups in Woodsetts have been given a boost with the opening of the new village hall. After many years of planning and development the new hall is up and running, providing a high quality venue for a range of activities. A £20,000 grant from WREN helped the Woodsetts Village Hall Management Committee reach their target for building the new hall.

The provision of a village hall had been discussed over the last 20 years by the Parish Council; extensive consultation had taken place with the whole community and support confirmed from all the current organisations in the village. The committee felt that providing such a facility was essential for Woodsetts to remain a vibrant and self-supporting community.

The village hall includes a large hall able to seat 75 people, a three-way dividable meeting room, kitchen facilities and parking. The centre provides a focal point for the whole community, counteracting current anti-social trends, providing advice, training and employment opportunities and promoting awareness, participation and ownership.
