Coventry - Belgrade Theatre Development

The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry was opened in 1958. It was the first theatre built in the UK after the 2nd world war and is Grade II listed building.

Arts Lottery funding has allowed a major refurbishment programme for the Theatre including the building of a new 300 seat auditorium.

The Theatre is well used as a facility for community activities and is regarded as an important meeting place in the city centre. WREN funding has helped refurbishment of the public foyers, creating a comfortable, attractive and fully accessible building.
