Ystalyfera - Godrergraig Workingmens Club Roof
The building has been known as the Workingmen's Club for many years, but due to the lack of a village hall within the community, and with no other building/premises available, the club premises have been used as a multi purpose facility.
The building is currently used for meetings and activities by groups such as the OAP club, the ladies alternative healthy living group, the old comrades society, Godre'graig football club, community association, folk dancing and more. They wish to make improvements to the building for the benefit of its members, existing users and the wider community.
The damage to the existing roof was causing internal damage to the building through dampness and the old flat roof was in need of replacement and the WREN funding contributed towards this. It has been replaced with a more durable, longer lasting, modern material.
