Alun Waters Country Park Llay Play Area
The Alyn Waters Country Park is an open peaceful park that is available for everybody to enjoy.
The play area is ideal for children of all ages and has the added benefits of being landscaped with slopes for kids to run up and down which makes the playground area as well as the equipment an attraction.
The playground equipment was crying out for attention, it's popular with local residents and has car loads of people arriving from the surrounding area and further afield, the play equipment has seen exceptionally heavy use and in a way is the victim of its own success. There was a need to replace the equipment that was removed because it was condemned and other pieces of equipment that are coming to the end of their life.
The project received funding of £24,951.00 from WREN with the new equipment improving the play area for all users including providing opportunities for disabled children to enjoy the facilities.
Cllr Malcolm Williams (left) officially opened the project and was joined by Meleri Jones WREN Project manager, Jon Harding WRG and members of the local school.
