Wrexham St Margaret's Church & Community Hall
Wrexham St Margarets Church & Community Hall
The hall was near derelict in 2000 but has now been totally refurbished with Welsh Assembly grant aid and a loan from the church with a re-payment agreement. The hall reopened in March 2006.
The venue has a large hall, smaller meeting room, excellent toilet facilities, kitchens, store room, stage, small staff office and store room for playgroup equipment and chairs etc. It also has full disabled access.
Groups who use the hall include: St Margarets Singers, Wrexham Flower Society, Garden Village Parent and Toddler Group, local Beaver and Scout Group, Old Time Dancing, Leisure Garden Association, Artists and Crafts events, County Market, Nightingales House, Mother Union, Sunday Club, Children’s parties, Karate, Weigh Watchers, funerals and for business meetings.
Wren funding of £8,400 went towards new tables and chairs and curtains to make the hall more welcoming. The project will also increase sustainability attracting more income from hiring it for weddings and parties.
The photos show the Luncheon Club enjoying the improvements.
