Bangor on Dee Village Hall Upgrade

The Bangor on Dee Village hall is a well used facility and had over the years grown in size with not only one but two extensions to accommodate the usage.

Due to the nature of the extensions the hall was left with two pillars in the middle of a large main hall. The pillars caused a problem by restricting seating, view and room to move (they were an obstacle for the dance classes!).

Before                                          After, a much improved hall

WREN funding has allowed for the removal of these pillars that has provided additional seating places and allows free movement around the room. The project also included a screen to allow for flexibility to make the space suitable for smaller group meetings and improved disabled access.

The hall has also undergone further improvements including a kitchen upgrade, installation of a new boiler, new energy efficient windows installed, and flooring with the support of funding from Northern Marches Cymru, AVOW, Wrexham County Borough Council and funds raised by the Hall Committee.
