Bollington Clarence Mill Footbridge

The project was identified within Bollington Town Plan and was the priority scheme for the Civic Society, Bollington Town Council and Cheshire East Council.

The bridge links the community around Clarence Mill with Bollington Town by proividing a link over the Macclesfield Canal. Bollington Discovery Centre, a visitor centre with displays of local artefacts and a historical photogrpah collection is located in the Mill.

Prior to the completion of the bridge visitors had to negotiate a dangerous road in completing 5 minute walk to access the building from the popular canal towpath. The Cheshire Advisory Panel members stopped off to admire the Bridge at Clarence Mill following their meeting on the 17th November.
