Bridlington - Dukes Park Enhancement
The final project has provided a fully supervised facility for skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX alongside a youth centre/learning centre where educational courses such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award and other workshops/seminars can be held.
The completed project has been of a huge benefit to the local community by providing a well designed and managed facility, thus reducing anti social behaviour within Bridlington, as well as transforming an unattractive corner of the "Dukes Park" playing fields, which is currently out of use as a result of the land being contaminated into a high quality youth area.
The second phase, also funded by WREN, has incorporated an artificial area for hockey, five a side football and other leisure activities, such as music and dance workshops, which will give young people the opportunity to try new activities.
