Clyde Muirshiel Park

Wren have strongly supported four projects at this well used, scenic recreation area. At Blackditch Bay on the north side of the loch a picnic area was created providing a welcome rest area for walkers. Walking and cycling are key activities around the loch and a comprehensive path and cycleway network has been developed by SRANI (South Renfrewshire Access Network Initiative). Within the path network exists a beautiful forest area within which was discovered a maze and this has been re-established by volunteers, and now leads to a viewpoint overlooking the loch. The loch hosts many activities and considerable wildlife. RSPB have a centre on the south side of the loch, which is well used by birdwatchers. Improvements have been made to the pathways, which form part of the comprehensive network around the loch. Wren has awarded £24,705 in support of these projects.
