Sherwood - Edwards Lane Community Park

This project was initiated by the Edwards Lane Tenants Association; the park lies adjacent to a former railway cutting within a residential area. The Edwards Lane Tenants Association has received almost £220K to transform the park because of the problems that were being encountered with such a well hidden, dark open space. The park was renowned for its anti-social activities, which meant that the majority of the community were afraid to use it, especially at night. In an attempt to clean up and develop the park, WREN provided the play equipment at a cost of £50,000.
