Gleaston Village Hall
Gleaston Village Hall
Gleaston Village Hall was built in the 1970's on land owned by the village community and is maintained for the community by a democratically elected committee.
The village hall is the only place where the residents of Gleaston can meet and as such it is the main venue for village community events and private parties. Therefore, the village hall has to be maintained in good order so that these events are both accessible and safe.
A WREN grant of £6,432.87 has enabled a program of works to be completed within the building including:
• installation of a new kitchen
• lay non-slip vinyl flooring in the kitchen
• external noticeboard
• replacement double-glazing units for windows
• new tables and chairs
• installation of window blinds
The improvements have given the hall a new lease of life and have encouraged greater use of the building.
