New Buckenham - Play Area

The village of New Buckenham had a small childrens play area, on their green, next to the cricket pitch.  Although it had a few pieces of equipment which were installed some years ago, there was a desperate need for a wider range of equipment to suit all ages.

Consultation was held over a long period, with children and adults alike offering their views as to what they would like to see. All agreed that it had to be exciting and stimulate the childrens imagination.

Funding was secured from a variety of sources, with £10,000 being offered by WREN early on in the process.

A wide variety of equipment has now been installed by Playdale, and the play area was opened by ex-Norwich City footballer Jeremy Goss at a celebration event in June 2009.
