Grimsby - Oak Foundation Meeting Rooms

WREN Awarded £50,000: towards the total refurbishment of a redundant ex-Social Club into a community facility in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.

Before

This has been a massive project which has converted an ex-Social Club in East Marsh with a double shop frontage, and a two storey dwelling into a multi functional facility which can be used both for church meetings and as a facility for community activities/meetings/events/social gatherings and educational activities. The space will help develop a flexible learning program which will address learning needs as identified by the local community, offering such things as cyber café, IT training, quite rooms, drop-ins; provide a much needed children/youth facility; provide a ‘HUB’ where other service providers can outreach into, and serve the community; provide a community facility for such things as line dancing, parties, disco’s & social events and create a high quality, low cost meeting /training & seminar facility. This project is now complete and in use.
